UPDATE 1-25-99: Just thought I'd let you know what's new. Today there is no school for Moorhead. It's a teacher's workshop. I have had a busy weekend. On Friday I had a basketball game against shannley and we won. It ended at about 6 and we went to eat and I was exhausted so I stayed home and rested the rest of the night. Then on Saturday I got a haircut, went to musical practice for our church, and finished the night off with the girls basketball games against Alex. Sunday came and my big day arrived. I was one of the main characters in a musical we put on at our church. I was the son in a family of 4 who had problems with their life that needed God to come into and fix. After the 2 productions I stayed at church for 2 hours working with youth group. Finally we went to a friends house ( four of us who were at the youth group meeting) and watched some of the "rock". Then we had to go back to church for 5 hours of a big sex conference and how to be safe. After the long 8AM-9PM church trip we went to my friends house again till 12PM and watched the rest of the "rock" and had fun being crazy.
UPDATE 1-17-99: Not much new with the Tranby's except that we just lost our power about an hour ago. It was really strange. It came back on in about 5 minutes. I was working on the computer at the time and it shut off abruptly, but luckily no major damage to the system was present.
UPDATE 1-6-99: New name for my webpage decided upon and might change soon. Name suggestion and might even be given credit. Also be sure to check and see our Trinity Web page as I will be helping now with creating some of the web pages for church.
Back in school so the updates might decrease in number, but hopefully will increase in information. I have just started a new site on just programming. I'll post news about it when need be. School has been okay coming back, but sleep has been the one thing keeping me from having an actual good time at school. I love school because I can talk to all my friends and I can hang out and have an active day. I'm one who doesn't really mind school work as it comes pretty interesting to me. Except for History which has always been something I see no need to know about. I could really care less if the first president was named George or John or Sam or Thomas or whatever. Somethings are FUN to learn about in history and I guess you can maybe learn about some of the things from the past to use in the present. However most of it all is not crucial. That's what I think anyway. Well let's see. Hmm....Okay, yeah Monday was great. Coming back from school with not to much work in the classes and then at night I played the best game I have probably ever played and scored 24 points. Don't mind the way I type. I type as if I'm talking that makes it easier to think of things. It's just like I'm talking to everyone personally. I'm learning my guitar and can play about 10 or so songs. I know maybe 10 cords 3 of which I can play and switch with out much trouble. I haven't played Zelda for a while so I can't say much about that.
One thing about the 2nd of Jan. I must have wrote the UPDATE early as during the day from about 11:30 to about 6 or 7 I went to my grandpa and grandma Tranby's place. They are in the process of shifting from the lake and are staying at one of my relatives house because they are in Arizona.
UPDATE 1-2-99: I can't belive it's already 1999 with only 364 days left until the next millenium. Wow! Happy New Year to all. I Got Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time or Zelda 64 to put it short. I actually got it on Monday which would have been the 27th I think. Anyway I am now an adult and I have almost passed the forest level. I haven't played since New Years Eve and I needed to find one more key to enter the next part of the temple. I had just passed two Stalfos and received the Bow and Arrow. Find out more on my review page.
My computer is now totally fixed. The sound works better than ever and the full window version A is installed along with tweakUI. A great utility. I just started to add the weapons for the monsters to the mix of things in the game.
UPDATE 12-26-98: Christmas .was great. I got many things and gave out many things to others. I went to my Grandparents house for my mom's side of the family. This was on Christmas Eve. We opened presents as a family of 5 also. Many presents fell into my lap as I received many gifts of great value. I got a guitar which will be fun to learn to play. I can't wait to start playing some tunes. I also got a long waited for N64. Now I will be posting real reviews about the games I have and/or rent. I also got many gift certificates. The two N64 games were World Cup 98 and NHL breakaway 98. ( the hockey game is for my brother). I am going to buy Zelda soon and probably Goldeneye 007. I got many shirts and clothes too. One sweatshirt my aunt had made for me with a basketball on the front and in my school colors. It's awesome. Christmas fun for the family consisted of boardgames and shopping and bowling. I am so glad I have vacation. It's so relaxing.
UPDATE 12-23-98: I have finished all my shopping and my IBM computer is now fixed so I will be again reunited with my ability to program my game. I have had two full weeks of not being able to even think about using my IBM. Now today I finally fixed it. For anyone who cares, it was a line in the system.ini file that loaded a sound driver and the driver was defective so I had to comment out that line. Now I'm on to working on getting the sound to work again. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
UPDATED 12-19-98: I have put up my basketball schedule for all to see.
UPDATED 12-14-98: Christmas is almost here. I have started to place my story of my trip to Colorado for my National youth gathering. Also placed Amazon and Cdnow links because I think they are well experienced sites for what they do and they have numerous selections and I'm sure you'll be able to find most of anything you want. Also I've played my first basketball game ( we won 61-33 against West Fargo ) , I'll post this on my school sports page soon. I've played Zelda: OOT and it is awesome. I can barely explain how good it is. I haven't had time to put up the review on my nintendo page along with many other rewiews, because I've been working on the Cdnow and Amazon links. I will soon add the following pages:
11-26-98: Thanksgiving! I had a great Thanksgiving today at my uncle's house in the minneapolis area. we had the traditional meal. I started basketball this week on Monday. I'm on the freshman bball team.
7-20-98: I just had a great month of youth gatherings and
other christian events. First was a nationals trip with my cousins
church. Second was getting to know the people at his
church better through bible study and youth group. Third I went
to Spiritfest Midwest while at my lake. To find out more follow
my link for Christians.
Moorhead has
been really warm, but rain has kept lakes in flooding conditions.
6-7-98:My game isn't finished yet. I need to still add the following
More levels, add Bosses, add
saving and loading, (done)change
level layout, finish the
graphics, and fine tune it. Also music and sound effects will be
added.
2-9-98 : Sorry for the delay. I forgot about my page for a month and haven't had much time to add to it. My game is coming along pretty good I should have a working demo out soon. I am going to get my nintendo web page up and running in a week or two. I will post reviews on games I've played and will post other peoples reviews given to me by E-mail.
